Custom Woven Label
Custom Woven Labels | Clothing Brand & Care Label Manufacturer
Woven labels are the primary brand identifier sewn into garments — the main label at the collar or neckline, the care instruction label at the side seam, the size tab, and the hem label are all woven labels. Unlike printed labels, woven labels are produced on a loom by interlacing colored threads, which means the branding is permanent, wash-resistant, and does not fade, crack, or peel over the lifetime of the garment.
Guystalent manufactures custom woven labels for clothing brands, fashion labels, sportswear companies, workwear suppliers, and uniform programs from our Guangzhou facility, with over 20 years of garment accessories manufacturing experience. Every label in this collection is produced to your exact specification: weave type, thread count, size, fold style, and content all configured to your brand and compliance requirements.
Label Types in This Collection
- Main labels (brand labels) — the primary brand identifier sewn at the collar, neckline, or center back; typically includes brand name, logo, and country of origin
- Care instruction labels — ISO 3758 standard care symbols (wash, bleach, dry, iron, dry clean) with text instructions; required by law in most export markets including the US, EU, UK, and Australia
- Size labels — numeric (XS/S/M/L/XL) or regional sizing (US, EU, UK, CN); often combined with care instructions on a single label
- Hem labels & patch labels — larger woven labels sewn to the exterior of the garment as a visible brand element; common in denim, streetwear, and workwear
- Tonal & jacquard labels — single-color or tone-on-tone weave; minimalist aesthetic for luxury and premium fashion brands
- Damask labels — high thread count weave producing fine detail and smooth texture; the premium standard for main labels in fashion and luxury garments

Choosing the Right Weave Type
Damask is the highest-quality woven label format, produced on high-density looms with a thread count of 48–60 threads per centimeter. The result is a smooth, fine-textured label that can reproduce small text (down to approximately 2mm letter height), thin lines, and complex logos with high accuracy. Damask is the standard for main labels in fashion, luxury, and premium sportswear brands. Satin weave produces a smooth, slightly lustrous surface with a softer hand feel than damask; it is well-suited to lingerie, childrenswear, and skin-contact labels where softness is a priority. Taffeta is a standard-density weave that is cost-effective for high-volume care label and size label production where fine detail is not required. If your logo includes fine text or intricate detail, damask is the recommended weave type — contact our team with your artwork and we will confirm the minimum label size required to reproduce your design accurately.
Care Label Compliance by Market
Care instruction labels are legally required in most major export markets. In the United States, the FTC Care Labeling Rule (16 CFR Part 423) requires permanent care instructions in English on all textile garments. In the European Union, Regulation (EU) No 1007/2011 requires fiber content labeling; care symbols under ISO 3758 are standard practice. In the United Kingdom, similar requirements apply post-Brexit under UK retained law. In Australia and New Zealand, care labeling follows AS/NZS 1957. We manufacture care labels compliant with all major market standards and can include fiber content, country of origin, and brand information on a single combined label.
